On March 28, Troop 92 Eagle Scout Daniel D’Souza passed his Board of Review to become the first Scout in the Connecticut Rivers Council to earn the BSA Distinguished Conservation Award. In order to earn the award, Daniel needed to complete two conservation projects (each in a different category), earn seven conservation related merit badges, and pass a Board of Review. He completed both his projects at the Quinnipiac Valley Audubon Society’s Riverbound Farm Sanctuary here in Cheshire where he removed invasive species and planted a pollinator garden. The BSA Distinguished Conservation Award replaced the Hornaday Award in October 2020.

Last Saturday, Troop 92 held its annual Ziti Dinner fundraiser. The hard work of the Scouts (pictured below) made the event a success! A special thanks to our sponsors and all those who attended.
Our Scouts have been busy serving the community. On June 3rd, Scouts spread wood chips in the Brooke Preserve parking lot and, this past weekend, they helped at the Strawberry Festival. Click here for photos.
